Students were tasked with designing and prototyping a mobile application that satisfies a need. I wanted to create a productivity tool that I would use in my own life. This product is inspired by the form and function of whiteboards, notepads, and other "to-do list" mediums.
In the ideation stage, I had a good idea of what I wanted the app to be, but I struggled to find a sophisticated grid that would adapt to each screen across the app, in a way that would be friendly to the user, while also feeling polished.
I decided to lean more into a lined, notepad-like framework that would mimic the way someone would usually write a to-do list in analog ways. This basic design language would transfer well across each screen, even if it wasn't list-based.
Even though this was my first real study in User Experience Design, this project was an absolute joy to work on. I took a lot of time designing different features and animations that I would love to see in a real app. I urge you to check out the full prototype for yourself, it's a real treat!
